Geo, Teora's mighty warrior from Gwain Saga

Gildedguy, the golden knight from Hyuns Dojo

Not all heroes have a great backstory, as these two lived a rather dull and depressing lifestyle before their lives changed forever, and are now the great protectors of their land! Before we begin, here are the sources we used!

Geo

Life…can be rather dull. That is, for a guy named Geo. Life was just gray. Just so…boring. It just feels very… insignificant. But one day, while sitting under a tree, doing his hobby of drawing, he was magically sent to a wonderful and vibrant land called Teora. But…it was a VERY bumpy fall. But something was different. He was more…stronger. He meets a girl named Ami, who is the princess of the Gwain Queen. She showed him this magical land, bringing color into his world. But as night fell, Ami was kidnapped by a bunch of wolves. After meeting the escaped prisoner named Vania, she gave him some tech that could assist him in retrieving the princess from her captors. Soon enough, he would defeat these wolves, and the princess would take him to her castle, where he would meet the Gwain Queen.

The confrontation could have been better, as Gwain attacked him out of concern that another human was going to go free and cause havoc. But after being convinced by Ami, Geo would become her bodyguard. And thus, Geo would go on many adventures. Meeting some of Ami’s friends, fighting technologically advanced villains, scrapping with other Teorans, beating up monsters, and more! While he isn’t the most proficient fighter, he will always get back up to fight the good fight. More adventures await our silent gale, but it is just another day for Teora’s protector!

Gildedguy

Born as the son of the ‘Life Factories’ owner, Gildedguy—or who we would soon come to know as ‘Gildedguy’— would grow up sheltered and aimless. He yearned for more than what he already had at his desk, painting his days away until the next paycheck came in. After discovering a Paint-Bucket imbued with a mysterious Green-Star’s magic, Gildedguy would soon turn his life around, and after a climactic battle with his father, a fight that would decide his freedom, he would set out on a lifelong journey. To chase a star that only he could see, to chase after his ambitions which were purely his own: to be an adventurer, a knight, and a hero. That dream is something that he would fight the strongest warriors for, tread the most dangerous terrain for, and something that no matter what, would not stop chasing.

And finally, after years of adventuring, that dream he HAD attained! A knight with his own castle, his own servants, he was a hero that everyone looked up to—and all it took was to slay a dragon.

Experience and Intelligence

Geo

Although Geo is a normal human who was thrust into this world full of different and powerful elemental beings, he quickly adapted to his new environment. He has fought a multitude of enemies, like different types of monsters, a woman with advanced tech for combat named Luna, a master deceptionist and sniper called Savien, among many others. He also seemingly knows his way around Teora and the different locations within. And finally, he is exceptionally good at combat, as he knows how to use certain weapons like his EXE-Blade or EXE-Rifle. Or just good at throwing hands in general.

Gildedguy

Gildedguy is a Rock Hard Gladiator who’s been adventuring and dueling for nearly a decade. In his journey he’s fought numerous Duelist Legends, had slain a dragon, and solidified himself as a pillar in Hyun’s Dojo. He spent most of his days adventuring across the fields of Aegis and Stellapent Cier and doing magic shows for the town’s people, before his rise to infamy! Now he rests easy as a Knight and ruler over an entire castle, yet still with a feeling of emptiness inside him; Still having a passion to chase the Green Star deep inside him! Perhaps one day he’ll finally discover its meaning and fulfill his own lifelong desires.

Equipment

Geo

EXE-Visor

This really badass visor may seem like it's there for decoration, but it does much more than you think! Given to him by Vania, it has different types of functions, like tracking foes, scanning for information, revealing hidden objects, or using it as a flashlight! Also, he can summon his blade to him when utilizing his visor. Speaking of his blade…

EXE-Blade

Another item given by Vania, the EXE-Blade is a sword that has a multitude of uses. It can be used to cut things, but also has other modes, like the Sniper-Mode, which turns it into a gun, and likely any type of firearm, like a railgun or an assault rifle. Additionally, it has another setting called Stealth-Camo, which can hide him.

Golem Ring

This is an item Gwain gave him when he was first starting out. It acts as a gravity stabilizer, which controls his weight.

Omega Suit

The Omega Suit is an item given to him by Twain. It is pretty helpful, as it buffs his stats, slows his perception of time, and can charge his body from attacks. If he is damaged enough, he can release the immense amount of charge in his body for a blast attack. Kinda like Vibranium.

Wind Suit

Another type of suit Geo has that can create a small amount of wind through the scarf. He wears it for like…a few scenes and that’s it.

Scuba Diving Suit

Geo’s final suit. This allows him to breathe underwater.

HP+

In the Gwain Saga game called Geo’s Adventure Plus, there are HP mags that Geo can use to heal 40% of his vitality, or health.

AT+

This is a mag Geo can equip on himself that increases his strength greatly.

DF+

This is yet another mag that Geo can equip that increases his defense. It can also have a chance of making him invincible (Que title card).

O2+

Geo’s final mag that he can equip. This allows him to gain oxygen underwater if he starts drowning.

Music Box

This is an item that Geo can use to put enemies to sleep (seemingly on anyone, since robots go to sleep here) after hearing a nice little tune~

Gildedguy

Long Sword

One of Gildedguy’s greatest (and only) weapons. Gildedguy found this sword on his own one day and has used it ever since! It can stretch and grow extremely long, and can be used with fire.

The Stellapen

The StellaPen, which Gildedguy uses to further chase his dreams! The StellaPen’s a magical pen-shaped crystal capable of bestowing its magic upon another to amplify their power or to grant new abilities! Gildedguy primarily uses it to create constructs from his own imagination, almost like a Green Lantern’s ring. And when combined with his sword, he can fly for a period of time. The crystal can also be used as a light source, a source of heat that can melt gold, and its paint can even reshape materials on the atomic level!

Golden Armor

Gildedguy’s iconic Armor! This thing was made by Gildedguy himself, being fully made out of gold. It can help him push through fire, help absorb electricity, and overall just tank heavy hits. Parts of the armor are able to be taken off and made into equipment like a wind-powered engine that allows Gildedguy to burst through the sky on his sword. Gold can be added to repair or strengthen the armor.

Powers/Abilities

Geo

Nothing. Yeah…due to the fact that he is a human, not a Teoran, he doesn’t get any magical powers like a normal Teoran. He just becomes really strong, fast, and durable.

Gildedguy

Electricity Manipulation

Gildedguy, with some help from his armor, can absorb electricity and use it to boost physical attributes (Like strength and speed). He can also catch electricity and redirect it.

Resistances

Geo

  • Minor Mind Manipulation: His visor is comparable to Luna’s (it helps that her’s is the same as his), which can resist Savien’s hypnosis.

Gildedguy

Feats

Geo

Overall

  • Became Ami’s Bodyguard

  • Helped many citizens of Teoran

  • Defeated monsters, Savien, Tahjin, Jea, and Luna (maybe)

  • Pulled Ami (The rizz is immaculate omg)

  • GOT THE SWITCH 2 LETS GOOOOOOOOOO

Power

Speed

Scaling

The Gwain Warriors + Villains

Geo pretty much is considered the strongest out of all of the Gwain Warriors, or at least comparable to them. And for the villains, Geo should compare or outscale them. So scaling Geo to these guys should be fine.

Gildedguy

Overall

  • Became a real hero
  • Was able to overcome his mental and money problems
  • Fought and defeated many powerful adversaries (The Dragon of Mar, Bog, Oxob, Jade, etc)
  • Earned his own castle after saving a town
  • Pulled Violet (That's our GOAT)

Power

Speed

Durability

Scaling

Allies + Antagonists

Weaknesses

Geo

While Geo is a tough human being, he does have his weaknesses. For starters, since he is a human, magic attacks are SUPER EFFECTIVE against him, which some could even kill him. Along with this, Geo, at least when starting out, doesn’t really fight. He usually holds back against opponents or lets them hit him continuously until he can land a hit, due to his high durability (This seems kinda familiar to another indestructible (invisible) human).

Gildedguy

While Gildedguy is a pretty decent fighter with or without his sword, he can easily get defeated by people who have better fighting experience than him. Gildedguy may come up with many creative battle plans on the fly, but he lacks skill due to having no professional training. While his stamina and durability is incredible, there have been cases where he’s been too tired to fight back. Also, he tends to go in head on instead of dodging or going for ranged options.

Before the Verdict

Can Geo scale to Gwain?

Gwain. The Queen of the Teorans. Geo has fought her before and has had multiple encounters. But should he scale to her? No. In every confrontation he had with Gwain, Geo always ended up losing. Even in small ones. That is also a major plot point that Gwain would KILL Geo if he fails to protect Ami. And she has shown that she is perfectly able to end his life. Along with that, she can even one-shot a monster that Geo was struggling with. BUT. But. The only thing we can scale Geo to is Gwain’s attack potency, which translates into his durability. He is constantly getting beat up by Gwain, and even surviving attacks that would kill others, like W.P for example. That could also be the reason why Gwain has to resort to piercing attacks to kill him instead of barraging him. Negating durability seems to be the only thing effective on him. So in short, Geo doesn’t scale to Gwain in any way except durability. That’s it.

Should Geo's original shorts and pilot be used?

Now this is quite interesting. GeoEXE created many shorts featuring Geo and Ami traveling to different worlds or encountering characters from various media. Some like Bowser, Slenderman, Pokémon, etc. So should they scale to these characters? No. These are not canon to Gwain Saga, so we aren’t gonna use these. Now for the pilot, its kinda interesting. You would think it's not canon since it seems to be before the events of 001, in which the lore is different, but you would be mistaken. It actually seems to take place between Gwain Saga 005 and 006. Now, it is worth mentioning that at the end of the video, it is shown those events were inside of a comic Gwain was reading. So was it not real? Well, Gwain talks after, in which she talks like it has happened before (It also helps that in the verse, apparently they have games and such where the Gwain Warriors are in it for some reason?). So in short, Geo’s Adventures is not canon, while the pilot is.

Legitimacy of SoL and FTL speed feats in Gwain Saga

One of the main things within Gwain Saga is speed, surprisingly enough. But is Geo SoL - FTL? Well, yes, actually. Geo has kept up with some quick characters within the series, like Marlow, who is regarded as one of, if not the fastest character within the series. She even admits in their first “fight” that Geo was actually keeping pace with her. And he could be even faster now, as he is being trained by Marlow, and seemingly able to run at the same speed as her. Now, how fast is Marlow? Well, in their battle, she was able to run on water and on walls, and was able to move as a light beam. This puts her at the light speed range. If this isn’t enough, Geo was able to react to light beams and consistently able to dodge lasers. So yeah, Geo can most likely scale to SoL - FTL speeds.

Legitimacy of SoL and FTL speed feats in Gildedguy

So… Is Gildedguy ACTUALLY SoL - FTL? Yes actually! He’s constantly shown to scale and upscale characters who have reaction speeds on this level. Like Violet, who can keep up AND defeat someone who reacts to her arrows (which are stated to be made out of light), and Andre, who while fighting a guy named Bident (whose arm is explicitly stated to be a “Laser Cannon”) dodges instantaneous lasers MULTIPLE TIMES by the way! Gildedguy should upscale both, due to going head to head against Andre with Arzon in Story #7, and should reasonably upscale a random guard his Girlfriend defeated. So yeah, Gildedguy most likely scales to these SoL -  FTL feats.

Does Gildedguy get Fortnite scaling???

No. As funny as Outerversal Gildedguy would sound, he doesn’t get Fortnite scaling. The creator even said in his Discord server that the Fortnite collab wasn’t canon. So no Fortnite scaling. RIP!

Does Gildedguy have access to his mech?

Nope! While Gildedguy has used his mech in the battle against the Dragon of Mar, he probably wouldn’t be given access to it against Geo. In the original story, Gildedguy spent a whopping 4 months making the mech. So unless we give Gildedguy an EXTREMELY unfair prep time advantage, he’s not gonna have access to the mech in this fight. Gildedguy somewhat scales to the mech slicing off the dragon's head, though, since he was the one who partially caused the Mech to swing and cut the dragon's neck.

Verdict

Stats

For power, this was NO CONTEST. While Geo can upscale Tahjin, who could split a 150 m statue apart, or upscale Deva creating the ice geyser, the power gap is still too great. Gildedguy can go blow for blow against Oxob, which required town levels of power, including him upscaling other characters like Arzon, Lemon, and Andre, who can reach Multi-City Block to Large Town levels of power. This amount of power is something Geo just cannot match at all.
But for speed, this is where it gets tricky. Geo has kept up with speedsters like Marlow and has dodged lasers and reacted to light beams. While Gildedguy can’t reach this level of speed on his own, he can upscale characters like Violet and Andre, who have been able to keep up with fast characters and react to stuff like lasers and light. But who is faster? Both of them have arguments for SoL or FTL speeds, which it is similar to each other. So the best bet is to call this a tie.
And finally, for durability, this is not hard to figure out either. While Geo has been the MAIN punching bag of the series and has gotten his salad tossed every episode before getting up to fight the good fight, he isn’t as durable as Gildedguy. While Geo can resist Gwain’s powerful blasts, which can get to City Block levels of power, Gildedguy surviving the destruction of a large pillar gets to Multi-City Block to Town levels of durability. Something that strong that Geo hasn’t encountered before.
Gildedguy gets Power and Durability while they tie in Speed.

Arsenal and Abilities

This is quite interesting. Both have different types of arsenals, but overall, Geo takes the edge here. While Gildedguy’s most powerful weapon, the Stellapen, can create anything he wants or make him fly, he doesn’t create anything useful within combat. Meanwhile, Geo has multiple ways of buffing his strength, healing his health, or making himself invincible. Along with this, his EXE-Blade has long-range options with Sniper-Mode to keep his distance from Gildedguy. But the main thing is the Music Box, as it puts anyone to sleep, which could leave Gildedguy vulnerable.
For abilities…c’mon. This should be VERY easy to figure out. Gildedguy is the only one who actually possesses an ability, unlike Geo, who, due to his human physiology, doesn’t have any powers. So…yeah. It's also worth mentioning that Gildedguy’s electricity-absorbing powers could give him an advantage, as he could potentially steal the electricity out of Geo’s visor, but that is highly unlikely. It was something to mention as a hypothetical.
Geo takes Arsenal while Gildedguy takes Abilities.

Tertiary Factors

This is admittedly a confusing one. For intelligence, both are good at what they do, in which they have fought a multitude of enemies. However, Geo should be able to get a leg up with his EXE-Visor. The visor has functions that could scan Gildedguy and learn all information about him, along with learning what items he is currently carrying. Along with that, he can track him the whole fight when using it, so he won’t lose sight of him.
For experience, both have fought many types of enemies that are somewhat different from each other. However, Gildedguy has seemingly been fighting and adventuring longer than Geo has, as it seems he has been doing this for many, many years. Geo, on the other hand, we don’t even know how long he has been in Teora due to the series not really having a timeline of events. Months could have passed, or years. We really don’t know. But our best estimate is to assume this happens all in one year. So overall, Gildedguy should be more experienced.
And finally, skill. While Geo has received actual formal training with Gwain in combat, and is currently being trained by Marlow, he overall isn’t as skilled as Gildedguy. For starters, he has fought a multitude of experienced fighters who have fought many battles. Along with this, they seem knowledgeable in martial arts and weapon combat. Some include Oxob, Arzon, Jade, Andre, and more. Along with this, he is generally more strategic in his fights, as he creates plans when encountering foes. Such as when he disarmed Fry, destroyed the environment around him to buy time to draw his weapon in his fight with Jade, creating a WHOLE MECH to defeat the Dragon of Mar, etc. Knowing all this, it seems logical that he would be more skilled.
Geo takes Intelligence while Gildedguy takes Experience and Skill.

Conclusion

Geo

Advantages:

  • Has more weapons or items
  • Better stamina via different mags
  • Better long-range options
  • Music Box is OP
  • Is more intelligent with the EXE-Visor
  • GeoEXE knows Liar Princess…BASED.

Equal:

  • Has equal speeds
  • Both pulled girls

Disadvantages:

Gildedguy

Advantages:

  • Massively stronger
  • More durable
  • Has actual abilities
  • Is more skilled
  • Has more experience
  • Is in Fortnite

Equal:

  • Has equal speeds
  • Both pulled girls

Disadvantages:

  • Has fewer weapons and items
  • Fewer ways to keep stamina
  • Inferior long-range options, and doesn’t typically go for it
  • Can’t resist the Music Box’s sleep manipulation
  • Less intelligent
  • Didn’t make it to mercenary tryouts :(

Now, this is a pretty interesting debate. Gildedguy obviously stomps in terms of strength and durability, and both have equal speeds. While you think this is just the end of that, it really isn’t. Geo actually possesses some advantages, like being able to scan Gildedguy to learn all information about him or knowing what weapons he has on hand to figure out what they do. Along with the fact that his larger arsenal could help him stay in the fight longer. But his main wincon lies within the Music Box, which is a stackable item that Geo can use to put any enemy to sleep. This is a REALLY POWERFUL item that could turn the tide of this fight, but there are some issues with this.

For one, due to Gildedguy’s vastly more powerful durability and strength, it is unlikely that Geo could land any hits that could cause any lasting damage. And due to Gildedguy having more experience and skill overall, he could likely figure out Geo’s fighting style or items to find a way around to end the fight. And due to the massive strength advantage and equalized speed, it is likely that it can only take a few blows to take out Geo for good. Geo may have the weaponry, intelligence, and stamina, but it was no use for Gildedguy’s strength, durability, abilities, skill, and experience. In the end, looks like Gildedguy put an end to Geo’s saga.

The winner is Gildedguy

Final Tally

Geo (0) - No one...sorry...we love you though!

Gildedguy (4) - MegaGojiraGX, Aidan_Is_Eternal, StapleBacon937, and The IRS

Hello, Mega here. Thank you to Aidan_Is_Eternal, StapleBacon937, and The IRS for helping me out on this blog! They helped me with calcs, some of the images, and A LOT of Gildedguy’s side. Thank you again! Couldn’t have done it without y’all!

And as per usual, here is a simple debate chart that reflects our thoughts on the verdict!
Thanks for reading this blog! Also, congratulations on this matchup winning the poll, and winning the wheel spinner afterwards! Gwain Saga is one of my favorite YouTube series and is pretty underrated if you ask me! Geo is one of my favorite characters in fiction, and I am so hyped for Gwain Saga 009…even if it's gonna take a while. On the other hand, I don’t know too much about Gildedguy, but his series seems honestly cool, and I might even check it out! Funnily enough, I only found out who he was through Fortnite. But anyway, stay tuned for my next blog! Speaking of which…I have a surprise…

Next Time...

THIS IS THE PERFECT APΩCALYPSE.
