The Horned Serpent (The Monument Mythos)
Character Blog
The Monument Mythos is an analog horror series that is…unique. In a good way. A very, very captivating story and introduced me to so many concepts and weird creatures that I grew to enjoy VERY MUCH. It's honestly such a goated series, and this is why I want to give the thing behind everything its own character blog! I also have received some assistance from u/Standard-Welder-5510 for this blog! They are a big Monument Mythos fan and helped with explaining a lot of things within the story and scaling. Without further ado, let’s get into this.Sources Used:

Background
Long ago, in history, war raged between the Colonists and the British. It was a tough time fighting for their freedom. But someone eventually stepped up to help. That would be General George Washington. He would help lead the Continental Army through many battles. While he would lose some, he would also win some. He was truly a force to be reckoned with. Finally, in 1781, the final battle would ensue, where the Colonists would achieve victory. Afterwards, that's when the United States would form. But soon…something would…change…within history. When George Washington decided one day to chop down a strange-looking tree, for God knows why, he would unknowingly become the vessel for the most dangerous thing within reality. On that day, he would be sent to an infinite metastructure of continuous upside-down and rightside-up trees, where he would be stretched and disfigured beyond repair. On that day, George Washington died…and the Horned Serpent was born.Trapped underneath the Earth, the Serpent would lie dormant. It lay there for centuries, needing to be released. Throughout history, the Serpent would slowly manipulate important people within the Earth to do its bidding. To bring it one step closer to its freedom. It created extensions of its limbs to cause interdimensional chaos. Its limbs were utilized for a death ray that created a being made up of atomized people, it caused tension through the Suez Canal Crab incident, and more. But finally, one day, two beings of infinite power would clash, causing the Earth’s crust to crack and unleash the Serpent. The time for destruction was at hand. Reality was ripped apart, and its aspects were scattered into many worlds known as Cornerworlds. This was known as the Great Division. Despite everything that happened afterwards, the Serpent remained free. In other realities, gods, monsters, and other entities existed, tracing back to the Serpent. Throughout it all, one thing was for certain. The Horned Serpent is real, and every single world is under its strings.
Experience and Intelligence

Support
Special Trees

- Electricity Manipulation: One of the Trees’ main abilities. They can summon lightning around themselves, usually bending when doing so. This usually signifies when they are going to warp someone.
- Sound Manipulation: The Trees have an odd ability where they can create calm music that causes the victim to go into a trace, in which their mind becomes calm, in which it allows the Tree to do whatever it pleases.
- BFR: The main ability of the Trees. The Trees can send victims to an infinite world full of these trees called “Wonderland.” It can also just randomly choose when to let them out.
- Telepathy, Empathic, and Mind Manipulation: Trees are able to telepathically talk to people through their minds, and with the music said earlier, it can make them follow their commands while being calm.
- Paralysis Inducement: With the Washington Monument trap, the Trees can seemingly make people paralyzed.
- Time Travel: The Trees can seemingly pop up in any time period, as shown to be there even in ancient Egypt. It can send people back in time, like what it did with York and Thomas Jefferson, sending them back to the Stone Age.
- Shapeshifting: Some Trees can take on humanoid appearances…
SMASH THO??? - Biological Manipulation: They can apparently change the biology of people they teleport.
- Dimensional Travel + Teleportation: Another one of their main abilities, where they can send people to other universes and just pop up in different places or universes as well.
- Earth Manipulation: In RUSHMOREREVENGE, it seems that the Special Trees can change the terrain, causing the faces on the mountain to be blank.
- Fusionism: As revealed in WHAT THE SHIP JESTER KNEW, it is shown that the Trees can just straight up fuse people together. It fused Thomas Jefferson and York to become the Ship Jester.

Resistances
- Extreme Heat: The Serpent for a LONG TIME had been trapped under the Earth, with temperatures reaching over 9,392 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Durability Negation: Special Trees are not affected by Giza Glass blades, in which they don’t kill the organism’s severed parts when cut by it, nor do they feel any pain from it.
- Spatial Manipulation: Special Trees are not affected by Giza Glass blades, which are stated to “cause distortions in size and space.”
- Possibly Fate: All of Nixon’s extensions can defy fate. An example is the D-Day Knight denying the prophecy of the Lunarian Queen or defying the fate of the men dying on D-Day. Since Nixon is from the Serpent, it COULD have a resistance to this.
- Plot Manipulation: Due to the Serpent possessing the Crescent King’s power, it should have the ability to resist being fictionalized or just the narrative itself.

Before the Summary
Why is every universe “Low Multiversal?”

Monument Mythos Cosmology

TLDR: Universes within the Monument Mythos multiverse are infinite in size, with each containing 4 infinitely sized structures, and they exist in an infinite multiverse.
What’s up with High Outerversal Horned Serpent?

In simple terms, R>F is when essentially the character transcends the setting they are in to the point where they view that setting as fiction (This was more like an example tbh). This normally gets a character to just baseline Outerversal. Where am I getting at with this? Well, it is shown that universes within the Monument Mythos multiverse have that same sort of R>F transcendence. We see that some universes seem to see others as mere fiction. For example, the House in the Ocean universe is seen as an urban legend by the people within the Nixonverse, even though that reality is real. Other examples include some other universe viewing the Cliftverse as a comic book, the Yorkverse being stated to be “fictionalized history” to Maize in presumably the Deanverse, and Nixon just straight up says other gods and monsters exist, but they merely exist as urban legends and mythology to other universes above them. But what does all this have to do with anything? Well, let's get into that.
Now that we know universes in the multiverse have this weird R>F thing to them, we go back to Wonderland. As stated by Dwight Comics, each layer of Wonderland is tied to each universe within the greater multiverse. And that if one could take control of Wonderland, it could change EVERYTHING. And since Wonderland has an infinite amount of these layers, this is just an infinite stack of R>F that the Serpent just has within it. An infinite amount of R>F would then raise its level to High Outerversal. And there’s one more thing (SAY THAT AGAIN???). In WHAT THE SHIP JESTER KNEW, it is revealed that when Jefferson is sent to Wonderland, it seems like a singular Special Tree has its own version of Wonderland, as we see the tree have an infinite amount of itself going down. We also see this early on within the series, like in LIBERTYLURKERS, where we see George Washington sent down a similar structure. This means that Wonderland could be an infinite R>F stack, but it's for EVERY TREE, in which there is an INFINITE AMOUNT. Buuuuut this is a bit more debatable, as it could just be symbolic, but the infinite R>F stack in Wonderland already gets it to High Outerversal. Since the Cornerworlds are stated to be Wonderland taken apart, it should scale to the Serpent’s AP.
One more thing. This is an interpretative thing, but it is possible that Wonderland and the Serpent are aspects of a higher being, which could imply that the Serpent has a true form. However, again, it's how you interpret this statement from Eve. Just something worth mentioning.
What is the full extent of Fictional Transcendence in the Monument Mythos?

Some Extra Words…or Something.
Whew…what a year it has been. Thank you all for reading this blog, and again, shoutout to my friend u/Standard-Welder-5510 for helping me out with scaling and with explaining a LOT of the lore. It would’ve been WAY MORE difficult if he weren’t there to help me. But uh, to address the big ol’ elephant in the room…
Where are the other blogs, Mega?
So please, show some mercy on me. So basically, if you don’t know, at the end of my Cell vs Omega blog, I announced Eddie Riggs vs Rumi was going to be the next blog. But then, in my Halloween blog for Bon vs Goji, I said that the Teacher vs the Wolf is next due to some issues with research in Eddie vs Rumi. So…where is that blog? Well… It's more of…procrastination and help with research…again. But please, please, please forgive me for not being able to release these blogs. I honestly think I shouldn’t even announce blogs unless I am SURE it will be done. With that being said…I have one last surprise for you all reading…enjoy, and happy New Year.
